Departments

The West Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office provides public services primarily through three departments. The recording department accepts and maintains documents relating to real estate transactions, Uniform Commercial Code filings, and marriage licenses. These documents are available for review and copying. The civil department provides similar services relating to the filing of lawsuits and probate records. Finally, the criminal department is responsible for receiving all filings in criminal and traffic matters.
